The founding of TBN<\/h5>
Today it would be considered a classic start-up, but back then it was a simple\ncompany when Thomas Sch\u00e4fer and Klaus Zimmer founded the Technical Office for\nCommunications Technology (TBN for short) in 1987.<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Illuminated lettering distribution<\/h5>
After a year, Thomas Sch\u00e4fer devoted himself full-time to the sale of illuminated lettering\nfor advertising purposes. Thanks to his previous experience in the OEM printer sector, he was quickly able to enter into\npartnerships with manufacturers such as Citizen. The business quickly expanded to include\nperipherals for PC POS systems, including cash drawers, barcode scanners and customer displays,\nwhich led to the first distribution contracts and attracted further sales partners.<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Relocation and expansion<\/h5>
In the following years, the company moved to the new company building in Max-Planck-Strasse in Kornwestheim. There was finally enough space for an expanded warehouse and a larger service department. By the early 2000s, the number of employees had risen to over 20. At the same time, the number of direct imports, particularly from Taiwan, increased. ADASYS introduced one of the first touch-based POS systems in Germany.<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
